Independent verification note: a separate secondhand research summary reviewed alongside this paper also claimed a 2026 "Athens Journal of Sports Medicine" human passive-cycling study and several other WBPA findings (a swine cerebral-ischemia model, a mouse sepsis-survival model, a Parkinson's pilot trial). Those underlying studies were independently checked: the swine and sepsis studies are real but date to 2009โ2019, not 2024โ2026; the Parkinson's trial is real but dates to 2012โ2018; and no "Athens Journal of Sports Medicine" paper matching the claimed 2026 passive-cycling study could be located in CrossRef or Europe PMC. None of those four are cited on this page or built as separate pages this round.
